Yoga & Sound Bath

Yoga & Soundbath ♡ Find Your True North ⠀⠀ In this very special workshop I will guide you through a practice that will have you explore your outer and inner worlds – especially with regard to the year that just passed and your visions for this next cycle. We will tap into our hopes for this year 2019, laying the foundation to manifest and let go according to our heart’s desires. Honoring the deep water element of winter, we will combine an active Vinyasa Yoga practice with Yin Yoga, through movement and stillness. Balance energy in a liberating flow for hips and lower back, exploring the edges of effort. Then completely let go and surrender into the longer holds and deep meditative release of Yin Yoga, a practice that stimulates connective tissues and nourishes joints. Janine, a gifted musician from California, will join us on this journey with her hauntingly beautiful sound bath tunes. ⠀⠀ All levels of Yoga are welcome; experience with Yinyasa Flow Yoga suggested. Coconut Rose Soap

I find it so relaxing to create things. Especially with all the Christmas hustle and bustle going on in the city I enjoy to slow down and dedicate time rather than money alone to my loved ones. With a few simple, organic ingredients you can make your own soap. It is super easy, inexpensive and there are no limits to your creativity as you choose your favourite ingredients,  scents and colours. These soaps make for a truly beautiful gift for the upcoming Christmas celebrations.   Coconut Rose Soap ∼ 10 Muffin Moulds ∼ 500 gr. Curd Soap 100 gr. Coconut Oil 6 Teaspoons Coconut Flakes 10 Teaspoons Rose Petals 4 Drops Essential Oil Rose   Grate the soap and melt the flakes in a water bath. The temperature should not be too high – otherwise the soap might change its color. Add the coconut oil and mix everything well. Stir in the coconut flakes and add rose oil to liking. Pour the mixture into silicone muffin moulds and immediately add a layer of rose petals, …

Playlist Winter

I made a new Yoga playlist and its perfect for the winter season! I often practice to these tunes at home, starting with a strong flow, peaking in a somewhat challenging pose like an arm balance or inversion to then dedicate the rest of my practice to a slow, smooth opening of tight muscles, ligaments and tissue. The sweet combination of Yang and Yin. Just what you need to bring some heat into cold winter days. Enjoy ♡ Playlist Winter

Workshop Series

Workshop Series: Hips, Back & Shoulders In this three part workshop series we will be looking at those areas in the body that often feel tight or at times even painful: the hips, the back and the shoulders. Dynamic strengthening creates stability in the body and gentle stretches soften tensions – both elements at play in our yoga practice foster well-being and health in our body as well as our mind. Part I: Happy Hips In this workshop we will take a look at the biggest joint in the human body: the hips. Being the joint between out lower and upper body, the hips directly affect our spine and especially the lower back. Influenced by our way of life these areas feels often very tight which affects us not only physically, but also mentally: the hips are known to store unprocessed experiences as “body memories”, which often causes tensions and restrictions of movement in the body. We will take a short excursion into the anatomy of the hips before exploring the body in a Vinyasa Flow …
