A dream come true!

I have aways wanted to grow my practice and teaching so that one day I would change perspective from being a student in a Yoga Teacher Training to being a mentor. I had no structured plan for this to happen, just a vision but as always when we set our mind and intentions onto something, it sooner or later materializes. I did not expect for my dream to come true this fast though so naturally I was over the roof when Patrick invited me to join his team of mentors in his latest 200 hour Teacher Training. Patrick Broome Yoga became my yoga home in Munich over the years and I am honored and grateful for the opportunities given. We started in November 2017 and will continue until May this year, with monthly weekend intensives. I am mentoring an adorable group of 10 yogis and together we learn and grow and allow for our hearts to open and surrender and trust, brightly shining the light that resides within us. Teaching yoga is my calling and …

Rooftop Yoga

I`ve got news for you! Rooftop Yoga is coming to Munich!!! Living in Los Angeles, I fell deeply in love with rooftops and their vibes. The sensation of being right in the heart of the city, yet feeling closer to the sky than the busy life below is enchanting to me. Due to my love for rooftops and the fact that Munich is a little sleepy when it comes to yoga events and creative places to practice, already when I was still in Los Angeles I began to envision to offer something like rooftop yoga once back in Munich. Munich is buzzing with joy of life in the summertime and everyone and everything is happening outside on any given day that is blessed with sunshine and warm temperatures, so rooftop yoga was only the next logical thing to happen. As always, when you embark on the right path, the universe provides and soon after arriving in Munich the possibility arose to make my vision come true. Starting July 20 there`ll be open yoga classes on …

Argan Oil

Since a few years argan oil is really up and coming as one of the major natural beauty care products. In every drugstore and supermarket you`ll find products these days that claim to contain the precious liquid. While most of us relate argan oil to Morocco, few know about the process of extraction and why the oil is costly compared to other natural oils. On our way to Paradise Valley nestled in the Atlas mountains of Morocco, we stopped at botanic gardens that hold an argan oil co-operative. The lush and beautiful small garden holds all sorts of plants and herbs that serve as natural remedies, beauty products or spices and the little tour explains how they are traditionally used in Morocco. Of course, there`s also an old argan tree in the center of the little compound. A few women are working on argan nuts and the process is explained to us here: first the fresh yellowish nuts are dried until they shrivel into small, dark brown kernels. Then, the outer layer is peeled off, …

I will miss this place.

As I am writing this, I am sitting on the garden porch of the house we currently live in, in Atwater Village, Los Angeles. It`s the house of the family I have been working with since late summer. They became true friends and invited us to stay here during their travels to Argentina and so we did. It is the second house we got to sit over the course of last year. We also looked after two dogs from time to time. Two houses. Two dogs. Three families I worked for. We grow close to the things that surround us and this time having to say goodbye is hard. It is hard because I don`t know when l`ll get to see them again. We grow attached to places, people, animals, because they touch us. I love each dog we have been sitting like my own and I often find myself missing them painfully. The same counts for the kids. Julian`s softness, Anais`wittyness, Luna`s strong will and chubby cheeks, Joean`s bright mind… And then there`s the …

Munich, here I come!

I`ve got news for you!!! After 15 months in LA it is finally time for me to come home ♡ It`s been a long time without seeing my family and all the lovely people I hold dear in my heart and I am super excited to see everyone and get to spend some time together! My grandma turned 92 in February, my youngest brother is now 11 and must have grown a ton since we last saw each other and one of my closest girlfriends got pregnant and had her son who is already 7 months old while yet another friend welcomed a little girl into this world… all without me! I can`t put the joy in words for getting to see everyone so, so soon. I`ll make my way to Munich on April 4 but will only stay for ten days before heading off to teach yoga in Morocco. I won`t be teaching during those first days in Munich but rather indulge in Brezn and dark bread and and bycicle rides and real trees and …

The Unexpected Is Sometimes The Best.

Sometimes all it takes is diving into the unexpected. Our apartment was going to be occupied during the weekend because we were thinking that we would spend the weekend at my grandmothers house. Only – all of a sudden – we weren`t . My grandmother, who always received all of our big family, friends and even friends friends warmly in her big house, a hot soup on the stove and fresh flowers on the bedside tables, wasn`t feeling up to it. Shortly before turning 90 in February, she found herself week and anxious, something we all ascribed to the ‘big day’ but has never left her fully since. Being thrown back to the little girl I intuitively become towards her, I refused to acknowledge this new situation and the possibility of her being anything but happy with us coming didn`t even occur to me until she found the courage to tell me herself. So here we were, with no travel at hand, an empty bank account and in need of a place to stay. As …
